March Hot Dog Highlight

The FHS Theatre Department has once again proven its dedication to fostering talent and providing platforms for students to shine. The success of Big Broadcast showcased several fresh faces, highlighting the diversity of our students’ talents. Despite facing challenges like weather-related closings that limited rehearsal time to a single day, the students rallied together, demonstrating their passion and commitment to putting together a memorable event. From Lizzie Kurth's ukulele performance, to Taylor Brown's self-choreographed dance, or Anthony Figueroa's saxophone solo, each act brought something unique to the stage. The comedic "Walk-Ons" sprinkled throughout the show provided intermissions of laughter for the audience members. The positive feedback received from attendees underscores the significance of these performances to the students involved. Big Broadcast not only showcases student talent, but also serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication. Looking ahead, the Theatre Department is gearing up for their next production, Guys and Dolls, set to hit the stage in April. This timeless classic promises to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative of love, sin, and redemption set against the backdrop of 1950s New York City. With its engaging storyline featuring two couples navigating the complexities of romance and morality, Guys and Dolls is poised to be another great showcase of student talent. Known for maintaining a high standard of excellence in the arts, FHS Theatre is proud to select productions that resonate with its students. Guys and Dolls aligns with this, offering a balance of entertainment and depth that appeals to performers and audiences alike. Mark your calendars for April 24, 26, and 27, and make sure to catch Guys and Dolls at the FHS Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at the door, with student tickets priced at $5 and adult tickets at $10. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the magic of live theatre and support the talented students of Frankfort High School as they continue to shine on stage!
