hi I'm Cindy long principal at Frankfort high school today it's my pleasure to introduce you to an opportunity for learning for students with extenuating circumstances the Frankfurt Virtual Academy beginning in 2024 FHS will open initially to a small set of students an online school the goal is very simple we want to expand opportunities for students and individualized learning needs ensure we want to ensure that all students have access to education and the opportunity to graduate from high school the students of Frankfort Virtual Academy will work through Ed options courses virtual students will have access to teaching not only from an online platform but also with assistance from live teachers who can be accessed virtually I'm sure you're wondering who will be the potential candidates for the Frankfort Virtual Academy firstly students who are already enrolled in online services and additionally Frankfort Virtual Academy will be open to any high school student who has extenuating circumstances require alternative options when to meet the state of Indiana requirements for graduation will graduate with a Frankfort high school diploma and have the opportunity to walk in our graduation ceremony the timeline for opening the Frankfurt Virtual Academy is moving Upon Us quickly is Friday November 10th the online application will open you will find the link to the application at Frankfurt schools.org because the Virtual Academy will begin classes after winter break the deadline for submitting applications is she all applications must be submitted by December 8th families will then be notified regarding acceptance on December 15th there will then be a mandatory training for both students and families prior to classes beginning on Northeast 16th 2024 the community schools of Frankfort is committed to ensuring Excellence for every student every day we feel as though offering opportunities for students to learn through various modes is just one way that we can can you to show that commitment if you have any questions regarding this exciting opportunity please feel free to contact Frankfurt Virtual Academy director Miss is Kristen horrell with the contact information provided you can always also reach out to me the day long here at shs
