those uh here at 601 so we'll go ahead and get the stores and our flight Provisions I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all thank you Sandy Miller here Karen James mcclave here Mandy Mitchell here Bob Markham here Joel Tatum Kirsten Beardsley here just want to call complete okay thank you um generally do I had to call this um October 8th meeting to order at this time I would entertain a motion to suspend the regular board meeting and open the preliminary hearing on the proposed Improvement project so moved second have a for Bob all in favor say I I posting sign all right the next item on the agenda is for the board to hold a project in preliminary hearing on the proposed project if you are interested in speaking at the hearing please make sure you have find the sign issue at the back of the room which should include your name and address after presentation by the administration and its advisors there will be an opportunity for the public to make comments about the project hearing you will ask each person whether they're comments to 3 minutes and the topic is limited to the proposed project under consideration the notice of this preliminary determination hearing was published as legally required the first preliminary information hearing was called in October 1st 2024 at this time I'll ask Dr Roto to explain the purpose of this hearing pursuant to Indiana code 2026737 before a school corporation may spend more than a million to build repair or alter a school building that will be financed by Lisa bonds it must hold a public hearing at which explanations of the potential value of the projects to the school corporation and community are 7 similarly pursuant to Indiana code 6-11-2022 bonds or enter a lease for a project which has a total project cost in excess of a non-controlled project these public hearings and the adoption of resolutions for the very beginning of the legal process these resolutions is the maximum financial terms for the proposed project thank you well now I'm going to come back and wrote about the process of determining and communicating the project to the community and the need for the project last school year improved Lancer associate Architects to conduct a district-wide feasibility study from October of 2023 to February 2024 the Lancer team conducted that study at Suncrest Elementary Blueridge primary green me Shadows intermediate Frankfort high school and the central office and administration building the Lancer team then presented the findings to the board in an April board work session we also had the opportunity to receive an energy saving setting from Fairy that was conducted to study the district's energy usage after the Lancer study was completed this fall we asked moisture management which is an architecture and engineering firm primarily we work with root projects board in April worked with central office administration to develop a priority list for all of the needs for the aforementioned studies we had identified a list of capital needs across the district that were red items on the studies red items were facility projects that were identified as in failing condition or efficiency these items were identified as critical issues that require immediate attention for health safety and Welfare of the buildings and property and those who inhabit the property thank you well now here from Joey Cardenas from Baker Tilly Municipal advisors LLC our Municipal advisor about how the proposed project will be financed as well as information about the effects on the typical taxpayer anybody hear me okay thank you for having me my name is going to walk through kind of a maximum estimate starting with a 2.5 EO Bond so I was going to do this based off you have any of the first schools I'm not saying that and the 5 is you associate with it as you can see here we have a 2 of the bond issues are labeled unlimited which uh show there if you send bonds another 3 represent counting the bonds which are they subject to tax caps exemption tax um and tonight we're going to be really focusing 25 this is a reference this is not a good answer box but you see here in 2025 the um that 7 million and it dropped about 6 million um what about the detail in this next stage and how how responsive you player and as part of this next page is the issue of the data behind that slide again here on the right hand side is the exempt debt we're not going to really be focusing on that fundamentally and now I can debt fund on the left if you see here in 2025 the total debt service payments are going to have no common about 4.9 million and then they dropped about 3.9 million in 2026 so that with payments falling initially Bond and pay pay within this tax rate so I'll go into more detail about that uh being tax rate neutral um slides again this is not here just going to walk through some of the maximum estimates estimates uh the bond issue so here's the mechanical volume of 3,150,000 this is a geo capacity Average July 15th 2025 um with the school need to close on me and 9.5 notice I can probably hang out on the 2022 if you go on it's very common this Corporation so on that plan payment is virtual I think 2025 will make that 3 weeks earlier so it's pretty common to see all the time so with that that creates that sure 145,000 more projects about 2,950,000 this is net of cost of issuance of our discount consumer payment term of 5 years there's not seen the bond resolutions which in the packet at all but um we showed Max of 7 years it's just a 5 estimated total estimated usually expensive about 620 is that right about 5.5% if these are going to be sold today if you under 4% more closer to 3.8 3.9% just to give you an idea of how much percent involved in this do you conserve it um would be estimates increase in total death tax rate is 0% tax rate and control um again as I mentioned on the previous slide with that debt starting to fall off the school can absorb these payments and stay within the current tax rate um that's estimated to be for 2025 here's a chart of this just to make uh make when this is annoying and fun so this picture this will not get that service 1 and the same clothes that service so again this is going to include those 2 payments the 2 payments associated with the um the so again this is just an item that's a response so the blue part represents the existing output service of course represent the payments associated with it you're not allowed to 2025 is that correct representative and now I can get some extension um so you see here in 2026 when the payments start to come off of the 200 bonds you see that tax rate again stay in line with what the 2025 is shown as tax rate Mutual but also still showing that future years any projects or to arrive at the school as well as plenty of flexibility to um issue and so the payments and credit association future project they might have um 1 thing I really wanted to point out that this is not including any NSS value growth this is assumed the 2025 is you stays flat um the school team a lot of growth recently so this is still very conservative just to the stone I'm known as his value picture of the schools um you know obligation Bond capacity um you can see here the 2 siding Bond issues just the pension bonds that we were paid here in January 25 and the Geo bond that we were paid but um January 2027 and that third column was just the estimated payments for the application this is associate the principal payment on the right hand side this is the test survey that capacity associated with those so as you can see you get that 3,150,000 of the 145,000 the G Geo bonds plan for July 1525 we just moved it Up 3 weeks earlier payment to create that 145,000 extra capacity towards a project so um as you see here on the right hand side that kind of uses all the Geo you start to regain those those blockchains so I get paid off and again if there's more notices value growth um at go debt limit actually increases again this is not sending any uh any net that was that was a completely I appreciate everybody's time and please don't have any questions any will now open the public hearing and remember if you'd like to speak please sign in on the sheet which is located with Marley Hill Rio as I mentioned earlier we ask that you state your name and address let your comments the proposed project and financing be any comments that 3 minutes and avoid being reported if possible my eyes or anybody signed up but there is a notice what anyone else want to speak before we move on for the bond hearing all right thank process the board will continue to work with the administration and its professionals to look at efficiencies to conserve tax dollars while being our educational needs could you please summarize the project resolution thank you of the project resolution is required when the school is planning to spend more than $1 million per building it contains the estimated hard and soft cost construction cost and costs of issuance and establishes establishes the total project cost it also contains the estimated tax impact all right at this time could I have a motion and a second to adopt the project resolution have a motion from Chris and a second from Karen are there any questions comments I will call for the vote all in favor say I I oppose same sign where did you please summarize the preliminary determination resolution thank you Mr Miller the preliminary determination resolution is required when a school is planning to finance more than a certain amount for a given facility it contains the total project costs maximum annual payment and Lease term and other financial terms such as the estimated principal amount and tax impact all right okay please have a motion a second to you please summarize the preliminary Bond resolution a lot of the preliminary Bond resolution project cost for the project maximum interest rate and other financial terms such as the first interest sign that wrote it did you again please summarize the reimbursement resolution the next resolution is a reimbursement resolution relating to the financing of the construction project this resolution permits the school corporation to reimburse itself for Bond proceeds for any cash which it might spend on the project prior to the closing of the bonds it is required hired by federal tax law in order to preserve the school corporation's ability to reimburse itself I mean their pay a motion and a second again a motion for Mandy and a second from a discussion on this particular resolution all in come on over thank you please um state your name your address and just remind you 3 minutes thank you uh Philip Jordan and I live at 650 East Armstrong Street here in Frankfurt and I serve as senior pastor Christian Life church laboure church across the way and I just wanted to come to the meeting today to just say thank you to each of you that work and labor to all of our teachers and staff and faculty to make Frankfurt School Systems um a great School uh I am the husband of a net graduate of Frankfort High School they the father of Ginger Spencer and billing who also were all graduates of Frankfort high school and I am a new grandfather to say you will someday uh hopefully be graduate of Frankfort high school and um I appreciate your investment I recognize that uh as a pastor my investment and your Investments of them look very similar in parallel often tell people as a pastor that my role and my job um often um I I would enjoy maybe just doing the bond on something days more than the job that I'm doing and the reason is is because I look back and see what I'm able to do today but invested in the lives of of students citizens of Frankfort often we don't see the outcome for months years and even decades down the road and so I recognized the job that you're doing and I want you to know that it is a British and um that we we thank you um on the type of uh my family I just want to say thank you for keeping Frankfurt School Systems moving forward and if I may I'd like to offer a prayer heavenly father I come to you your servant today is a great blessing upon our Beloved School System great for each student particularly for those who bring their struggles daily into the classroom create your love your care your compassion would come to each of them Lord to help us and show us the way to guide them efficiently and effectively Lord teach us how we may teach them your ways build ahead your protection about each student and teacher each day is the entered the classroom and walk all week father of 3 for each teacher who may be fighting their own battles that none of us may be aware of I pray you help each of them find the depth of your love and to discover that you are the way the truth and the life let Hope encourage them to let your wisdom direct their path I pray over our wonderful leaders this school system that are in this room today I pray that their labor and sacrifices be restored with blessing and favor that only comes from you let their the council bring peace to all that they set their hearts to do and I pray all of these things Jesus name amen thank you for your time work very appreciative thank you all right so public participation or if not okay thank you all right we'll move on to the board goals right Mrs Miller members of the board I'd like to point your attention to more goals or at 5 or go 4 Community Schools of Frankfort 1 Kris and enhanced involved in Community Partnerships while improving the overall communication recently uh Jonas Clayton 1 of our social studies teachers at the high school invited um Carol price out to the high school to talk about registering to vote and the uh I talked to Jonas after uh Carol's visit and they were just really excited that somebody from local government took the opportunity to come out and share about government with uh in a partisan way to our kids so that was a great partnership there that hopefully a great relationship with our social studies department or government Department and local government and then Oracle 5 Leslie that is Community Schools of Frankfort will address the needs of our students and staff through the development of connections programming curriculum in our schools Leslie Mueller has been meeting with all grade level teams to adopt a language arts textbook and language arts is a kind of a hot bite button item because it's it's used throughout the whole day we've got a language arts teacher in the audience and Leslie is working with that team to establish the why what what do we what objectives do we want to get out of this program also balancing that with an elementary schools and the science of reading so really working on getting input from all of our stakeholders to be able to pick out a textbook that will work for elementary in high school so what are you proud of the work that that team is doing at this time collaboratively so I should go ahead and move on to the superintendent's report hi this is our members the board I'd like to invite Marie Schaefer uh up to the podium to talk about 2 overnight field trips that are are new to Frankfort high school so I'd like her to share uh since they're unique to share with the board because we'll be looking we'll be looking at that later to recommend and so we've got up on the screen well I got a little way well that works out so the theme tonight we're both trips is opportunity creating opportunity for students in creating opportunities that may not be present if in their own in their own homes or availability due to just figuring out how to do things um so the first trip the senior trip uh I am not crazy for Tech you know tackling this on what I am is again learning opportunities for our students um after seeing that Clinton Central was doing a senior trip I said well we can do better we are better so our students deserve the same opportunities as others in the county uh I priced out many different trip options this came back as the cheapest we can get more for the money that we're hang and their the students are paying less so that was what kind of the main reason why we're going to Walt Disney World in the hopes that this becomes an annual senior trip so the students in each the students in the as other classmates will know what is coming ahead we think and participate fundraisers will come up with um we have roughly from April 30th um to possibly May 4th um depending on on flights and hotels um looking at right now if we leave again I've got option A through Z depending upon how availability of flights are with the group rate um right now I'm Southwest has a 515 flight 5 to 15 PM flight leaving on April 30th and it's a hundred dollars cheaper than leaving first thing in the morning that with an offset the that they would be spending it on in the resort it also means that parents and students would not have to be arriving at school at 2:30 in the morning for us to get on a 5:00 a.m. flight um and they're able to to then use the the pool there at the resort unpack relax and then we start our adventure with 3 days in the Parks all this so eligibility for eligibility with a trip uh this is very important because it is an incentive trip so therefore all students must be a senior standing they need to be passing all of their classes at the time of the trip uh good attendance good attendance means that we will start tracking Behavior attendance and grades after the first 9 weeks so that all students know what the expectation is um and so there will be you know no question about what the expectations are for the radiation here in their attendance in the hopes that we have we can get kids and specifically seniors to have better attendance the rest of this year is a second semester as well because they will not be able they will not be eligible otherwise uh so then took a quick increase survey or inquiry requests of students uh looking at I had 152 responses uh this was a low impact no commitment type of things no names it was just a are you interested are you not maybe so I gave each numbers of whether or not this trip was a 2 thumbs up or it was a 2 thumbs down for the students because what I might be having in my little bubble may not be what they want um I have a right now actually the survey is the it's different now it's 89 yeses and we are at 55 babies uh and so again after presenting information to students and then presenting it to parents they will have a clearer picture of what the expectations are along with the financial breakdown I cannot get exact numbers even though I love exact um I can't get that until I booked the group rate with Southwest and I can't book until I have the exact number of Flyers how many rooms we're going to need will depend upon whether or not students are going to be for me as a quad so 4 to a room or 3 to a room you know depending upon their preference the base price I'm going to keep right at $1,100 plus food I have food options as well so those are very if there's those below off any you know if it goes below that 1100 that'll just get knocked off what they have to pay as well uh if it goes over then that means that I need to do some fundraising to try come up with the costs because I've told students that this is what it is we are going to pay this is what I'm going to try to keep it at um so our food options you can pay as you go whether that be credit card cash Disney gift cards you know pays the go option which means that it's open for everybody or Disney off also offers a group meal plan but there are some downsides to the group meal plan because it can only to use that certain Quick Service restaurants they're non-refundable and the kids are paying the max price for each meal each day so if you are not going to be ordering a complete meal and something that's 18.99 you shouldn't have to pay that I can work with kids on both options it is not a 1 size fits all we can order the meal plans for the kids who want them and I can work with students with 1-on-1 for them if what they want to do in terms of planning out their meals for the day it also means that if they want to do a sit down somewhere they want an experience I'm not cutting them off from a possibility that they could have there at Disney again links to Quick Services the average lunch and dinner Quick Service is 14.99 and you can order off the kids menu can you do an option all right so everything will be included except for food unless they do the meal plan but that'll be above the 1100 uh so transportation to and from the airport both from the high school to Indianapolis International Airport and also then from Orlando Airport to the resort uh once we're there we'll be using Disney shuttles because we'll be on property and So within this week level uh we'll have flight so this will be many of our students first time flying so that's an experience all of its own um we'll have 3 possibly 4 nights at the resort depending upon where I can get the tickets and the walk and then what happens to students are flying uh admission to the 3 parks and a surprise souvenir we still have before the flight but I can't work with it again because we're not available so if nothing else they're going to be coming back with it's not my first time traveling to Disney I can figure out 7,000 different ways to do the uh and so I'll work with students who want to individualize or want to do something else Beyond what's on the list so if the student wants to go the lightsaber at Hollywood Studios or build a Droid that's a roof you know separate reservation that's beyond that I can help them make those reservations so they have the that experience and that opportunity um as well as best places to buy souvenirs or when did you do it when did not do it like first thing in the morning then you have to carry it around um so yeah the 3 days of the parks um it'll vary depending upon if we're going in the night before we won't be coming to the park at 10:30 join as many Road tracking because on the resort we get in 30 minutes early so that means more bang for our buck for our students as well uh long days at the parks being able to see everything and ending in nice and tired when they come home with sore feet and ready to go the next morning um our chaperones again that's changed slightly so it would be 1 chat room for every 10 to students and it'll be based off of room blocks so that way the shaft Works can check the rooms as we go through um as of right now I have um 6 confirmed um chaperones as needed only I'm the only 1 Who is the at the so um again any concerns about pulling too much stack so the staff members is going to be taking care of I have um 3 on reserve with 1 for being a staff member but the other 2 1 being a officer will be taking 2 retired police officers so they will be our our male chaperones for sure possibly 3 officers with us that we're expecting trouble but at the same time they they're there and I can't go into 1 of the male a male room and search it so therefore I yeah having multiple males there will and necessary um any parents who decide to travel with us they're not labeled as chaperone will be responsible for their own travel costs again they'll have to be if a parent is going to chaperone we'll have to make that will help to verify you know that it they should be a chef or not um again with some of those we want to make sure that people are going to adhere to the school rules of being an around on a school trip then we've got possible you know again looking at parent dates parent and student meeting dates dealing with everything from information to setting up technology to um I have payment lists you know suggested dates for payments and the amounts um looking at a business the payment plans are subject to change based off of the contracts that we signed and when our final date is that we have to have those final payments in then there's a couple days offer within all of them so that way we can cover the kid shows up at 3:30 that night that we can make sure that we take it in evening after care of all of that um there will be no refund dates and those will be distributed to all the parents at that point that it will not be early on um we have fundraisers set up already I have the first 3 signed and approved I have the the paperwork and the order forms all ready to go that'll take care of October November and December uh January will do nothing but cake they're probably edged towards the end of January to lead up toward Valentine's Day so you can have sweet Trio Valentine's Day on those we will come up with other fundraisers the idea is again opportunity so students who have do not have the resources to travel are able to pay for their trip through these fundraisers because every dollar that they've raised goes into their trip it's not for the collective Goods so if a student you know sells a 100 pies for Thanksgiving then they'll get $500 toward their trip that goes for their amount they'll be taking off of their their price so they can other than the $50 deposit that's due I think that it's important for every student to have some sort of actual earnest money going in so they can have um ownership into that purchase then other than that $50 everything else could be earned through fundraiser so the liability policy world has their own liability and conditions Walt Disney World also has Health Facilities on site so if there is an emergency if there are problems um we are there on there there on site with nursing staff medical technicians there's first aid rooms in facilities at all the parks we have um quick facilities they have uh Disney Resort medical facility that's not in that's not in a park that's separate that we could easily go to if there is a medical emergency or somebody does get sick during the trip that students that we have access to emergency room or if you know kid comes out with Shrek throat or something else that we can have access to that um and the kids will all know and they'll get maps they'll they'll be marked where they go and this will be part of the parent meetings that we go through uh students in order to go on the trip in fact as they make their Deposit they have to sign 2 liters 1 is stating that the school you know the chaperones they are not liable nor is the the parks for their behavior going through the second 1 is an understanding of the school rules and the fact that if they misbehave they could lose their ability to go on the trip they could lose money that they have earned or deposited depending upon when that date is so they have an understanding that their behavior matters will we also have to look at is again when we have the during the school year we have something to to be able to hold over their heads the idea that it's in such a is something to look forward to but it also means that we have the ability to hold something back if behavior is not acceptable on that trip and that could be everything from the school punishment with having our principal going on the trip as 1 of the chaperones 2 not being able to walk at graduation or something worse I don't want to hopefully prepare for the worst hope for the best so thank you for helping our students have a magical Adventure first of all but yep okay second 1 even though they both deal with travel they are too kind of wildly different projects 1 is you know reoccurring senior trip the other is bringing back the travel club that Frankfurt had before the pandemic and so this concept is that the first trip is Summer of 2026 this will not hinder any sort of school days because there will always be in the summer as we go through unless you decide to do a spring break or other travel as we move forward but right now prices and pricing for all things are much cheaper in the summer than they are during the school year trying to do spring break or fall break or other times so um I'm going to Breeze through we're going with EF Tours EF Tours is highly reputable I've traveled with them I know that I'm not going to get a hotel in a sketchy part of town is going to have to worry about my students safety and the safety of for myself or anybody else that goes on the trip I'm because they will have we will have a 24-hour tour guide we will also there will be guards and people watching the hotels at night while we sleep we will be placed in hotels and if that have other groups with us so we will be grouped together with other schools so they're also is an opportunity for students around that country or even different countries just on our tour let alone who they need when we go into a shop when we visit a site we're more on you know when we're out and about in the community that we're going to be traveling to so looking at again opportunities um eventually you know after 2026 the goal is that travel Club will Will Travel internationally on many years and traveled domestically on a years so after this trip is kind of decided that it'll be up to the students where they want to go so they wanted to go out west to look at National Park or if they want to go to Washington DC or just take the train up to Chicago and go on an architectural tour visit the Museum of Science and Industry then that's what we'll plan for and that's what we'll do all senior trip fundraising users are available to travel Club students as well along with other things that the students in the club will come up with which to minimize the cost because it is significant travel is expensive now have the cost is unfortunately right now half the cost is airfare getting overseas and we also get what we pay for we are getting top-notch transportation we are getting wonderful tour guides we are getting entry into the museums and historical sites that we would not have to pay extra for and continuing its The Upfront cost is already there students have the opportunity to then with within EF students and staff or any adults that want to travel have the opportunity to learn as they go through do you have the opportunity for college credit to pay for it all adults specifically teachers have uh EF will offer pgp points because these are Educational Tours and that is the foundation of this company is Educational Tours so we're looking at again the purpose for traveling we are exploring we are giving more opportunities to students we are also wanting them to interact with other cultures whether that be in our tour bus or whether that be visiting you know a talented Ireland or whether that's going to a Grecian Island perhaps in you know in 2028 um they are able to interact with those and then bring that knowledge and bring those sites like oh I saw this in a book and somebody else goes well I saw it in person there's a different perspective that comes through when you're able to immerse yourself in another culture where you know even just 10 days that we will be there so again EF has 55 years experience I travel with them I I have lots of colleagues who have also traveled with them and is the company that was used before the pandemic here for you in the community schools of Frankfort um the first trip double in London in Paris we're starting out because then we have uh 2 countries that English is the primary language for students who are not full-on Travelers and Larry of that um also it is this is Chuck full so many experiences um they get to explore 3 capitals of Europe in a slightly indepth as I go through um again we are accompanied by a tour guide 247 so we will not be left with that we have full itineraries we have the food we have our hour by hour of where we need to be in what we need to do through every day you know um in our transportation is taking care of so that's nice they tell us what bus to go on we go and we travel really tell us where to get off and tell us where to meet next a whole lot easier we're doing that um it is a longer trip with an extension and a side trip to side than this so I'm excited to see for side again I since I was a junior in high school and my mom created this opportunity for me to travel she would you know she thought it was important for me being in a small town to be able to travel I will create same opportunities for my children as well to see opportunities outside of a small town I grew up in Locust for my mother was is a retired folks for high school teacher um so enjoy that she took a student group as well when I was in high school so the next few slides that we have are some of the experiences that students will have they'll explore food because we will not be eating at McDonald's and Taco Bell's we are in these other countries we will be eating at restaurants and food of that culture again there's lots of choices there's probably chicken fingers somewhere for kids um but it allows them to explore dishes that they wouldn't normally on exploration days there will be opportunities if they really just want a Big Mac there's going to be a McDonald's around but most of the hotels have you know all of the hotels in Paris they'll have back gets in jelly and the basic continental breakfast but honestly I'll take a fresh baked baguette and fresh butter any day it was their parents versus anywhere else um our dates are in July it's kind of that buffer depending upon what's going to be the cheapest flights for us and booking with a group how many people book if we have to go with another group again to keep that price as low as possible we have everything included within the price except for there's a few meals again on those exploration days that students and adults will be responsible for but then is again you can explore a little bit and go into a shop you can go to a restaurant um not that we're not going on this trip but I remember eating Crepes at a restaurant and won't see the shell prototype comes in and figuring out the greatest thing ever you know being a high school student um and you know what your also responsible for kids will learn how to get a passport the more you know travel dues and Jones same way we're going to talk about within the club even if kids can't travel we're going to talk about traveling within their we're going to talk about what they need to do if they ever want to plan their own trip and how they want to do that and partner with ef because they make it easy you get what you pay for it is you know but we they have more than other tour companies because they've been doing this so long availability for college credit yeah this is an experience that students can use on their college essays if they'd like we have support 24/7 while we're there um we have opportunity eeo we have the ability for uh any sort of medical support as well at every country that we are at then our tour guide that we and as we share roads we'll have the list of numbers of who we need to call if there is an emergency or somebody does get sick along the way so there's medical support as well um you have also carries all the liability insurance and for the group as well there's limited know you know cancellation fees until later in the trip and it's all but like 95 dollars so if a circumstance comes up for a student then they can't go losing 95 dollars of that uh after a certain date any questions over wait for questions when it comes time it's on the agenda later on so we have some questions later on thank you Marie this is the board I would like to just give you a update on our middle school project uh right now they uh are just had our progress meeting this Monday they are starting to put the masonry work to put the final back wall on the so that is you can see on the screen that's the back wall that that was before the masonary was uh going up so they are putting that wall up so that it would be walled in for the winter they're also on getting the uh root cough all um all the route taken care of uh that is the front entrance of the building and that they're currently working on that front end facade with the uh with all of the steel work and this is the uh inside office and so the framework in that office is pretty much up they're currently putting electrical work in through the walls Santa is uh getting getting pretty close to um getting finished it looks like that's a brick work in the walls going up and the uh new Performing Arts Center so they're coming along and uh we're we're excited about their progress and look forward every time that we'll have to get a a I can bring you guys out there they're getting ready for a concrete tomorrow in this concession area and as well as they're prepping the the floor and oriented so yeah it's going to start looking like a an auditorium here very very shortly and Scott is coming up to share a financial update of what we have spent so far off the project thank you this is a reminder Bond money was deposited into 2 Banks US Bank holds a large amount which will primarily be used for the expenses related to the middle school project forward Bank holds a lesser amount which will primarily be used for expenses related to other projects for the starting balance of just over 2573 5,000 held a US Bank we have submitted vouchers to US Bank to pay vendors the car a total of 5,457,084.51 with a starting balance of 3.89 Farmers Bank they have submitted payment to vendors and the amount of 83,073 any questions for agenda members of the board I'm asking for approval for the consent agenda which includes the minutes from the September 10th regular meeting the treasurer's report of receipt and fund balance as of September 30th 2024 a list of claims number 11 for October 8th was about staying in checks payroll claims personal reports and the financial dashboard I like to bring your attention to the 3 items related on the financial dashboard uh on the fund balance comparison page you'll see at the balance of all funds that's lower than last month or higher than last year on the balanced comparison by fund page you will see that the education fund is higher than last month the operations fund is lower than last month and day fund Remains the Same and on the September 2024 February claims case I point out that the education operations transfer amount is the same as last month which gives us below that 15% allowed for the year I'd also like to bring your attention to to 2 items on the claims list I think are worth pointing out uh the first is voucher number 112372 you're able to rooc kind 24,000 for his social skills robot um this robot at least Funston Road and received a grant for full reinforcement for the the second year in the row um and she reminds me to say that there were some other schools that were denied I'm putting super excited about that um also the voucher number 112390 payable to mallister appropriation modification for when we received the 1782 notice at the end of the year but those 4 resolutions I'm asking for your approval with the so let's yes it's all together so motion for
